This NGO is an initiator of a beautiful resistance, it strives to save lives, inspire hope and empower children and women in Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem (5000 refugees).
What social impact?
Local volunteers established this charity in 1998. The NGO resists to the Israeli occupation through pacific means: theater, dance, music, art, journalism, etc.
Activities are achieved with a global approach regarding scholar support, sustainable development and professional training in performing and visual arts. The NGO benefited to more than 30.000 kids thanks to its 20 employees and the volunteers they receive every year.
Through volunteer workers the center seeks theatrically and artistically to break the stereotypes diffused in the media about Palestinians, and to build bridges of exchange and channels of communications with human beings from other countries, while enriching future possibilities for the children in Aida refugee camp and Palestine.
- Teaching or assisting teachers during classes and supporting kids at computering classes.
- Giving support in office administration.
- Use your talents & creativity by setting up a project (dance, drawing, music...).
- Help build projects with other organizations in your country.
Volunteer works from 9am to 5pm (6 days/week- Wednesday off).
You have to count about 10$/day for the food and 15$/day for accommodation.
The staff can help you to find good accommodation in a hostel/guest house or maybe to host you.
